The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

So Thankgiving was fun except our family was treated with a cliche episode of a generic sitcom! Yay us! Here's why.

My sister decided to buy a pet snake and bring it over for Thanksgiving dinner. It got lost. We (as in I) had to find it. Our room was destroyed because we couldn't find the stupid thing, and all of my cousins where trying to find it without looking conspicuous and freaking out my mother. I did find it though, t'was in my mom's room behind her perfume dresser. It only took us about an hour to find her! If we hadnt found it my mom would have been terribly pissed off when she discovered it in her bedsheets oooh what a surprise!! 8D

so yeah other than tha pretty normal Turkey day. Played guitar hero, cooked turkey, gorged ourselves, ate excessivly, played games, pretty fun.

And we made gingerbread men. Mine was the coolest. Mine was dead, he had been shot. I should prolly post it just cuz it was seriously just that awesome.  and that's it

Oh last thing I got to work on Black Friday! Go me! I still don't like people.
